In Human Design, each of the five types has a unique aura, an electromagnetic energy field, that interacts with the world and others in distinct ways. Understanding how your aura works can help you grasp the impact you have on others and your environment—and, in turn, how your surroundings are influencing you on an energetic level.
Learning to tune in with the aura and energy of other people, can help you discern which quality and essence the carry and thereby how to best interact with them. Noticing how you affect others, can work as a beautiful mirror for you to grow more self-awareness.
I. Manifestors
The aura of a Manifestor is closed and repelling. It has a powerful and independent energy that pushes outward into the world. Manifestors are here to create and make things happen, but their aura can feel somewhat closed or dense to others. It’s not necessarily welcoming, but it carries a strong sense of direction and purpose. People around Manifestor’s may feel that they need to give them space to create and act without interference, as their energy can sometimes feel like it’s “moving ahead” of others.
II. Generators
The aura of a Generator is enveloping and open. It is expansive, attracting opportunities and experiences. Generators have a deep, steady life force energy that comes from their Sacral center. When they’re doing what they love, they radiate an inviting energy that draws others in. This aura allows Generators to inspire and energize others, especially when they are aligned with their passions and responding to life in the right way. However, when Generators are out of alignment and not following their Sacral response, their aura can feel frustrated and closed off, which may repel others. When a Generator steps into a room, everyone will feel the inner state of the Generator, consciously or unconsciously.
III. Manifesting Generators
Manifesting Generators have a unique blend of the Manifestor and Generator auras. Their energy is dynamic and fast-moving, often skipping over steps and acting with quick momentum. Their aura is still magnetic, like the Generator, but with an added force of initiating action. It can feel both engaging and direct, drawing others to them while also propelling them forward in a way that makes them feel unstoppable. Like Generators, when Manifesting Generators are out of alignment, their aura can become scattered and frustrated..
IV. Projectors
Projectors have a focused and penetrating aura. Their energy is designed to guide and direct others, and their aura acts like a laser beam, attuning to the energy of those around them. Projectors are naturally attuned to the people they are interacting with and can see things that others may miss. However, because their aura is absorbing, they need to be invited in or recognized before they can truly share their wisdom. Without invitation or recognition, Projectors may feel bitter or rejected, and their aura can feel closed off or withdrawn as a result.
V. Reflectors
The aura of a Reflector is resisting and sampling. It is highly open and receptive, like a mirror, reflecting the energy of those around them. Reflectors are sensitive to their environment and can pick up on the emotional, mental, and physical energies of others. Their aura is constantly shifting, and it can take on the qualities of whatever they are surrounded by, making them highly adaptive but also vulnerable to being influenced by external factors. Reflectors thrive in environments that are supportive and harmonious, as their aura is a direct reflection of the energy they are immersed in.
